Geography - Southside

Glasgow Science Centre
and the Glasgow Tower.
Glasgow Southside is often regarded as off the tourist trail but the area has many attractions. Here you will find the award-winning, interactive Glasgow Science Center and the rotatinGlasgow Tower; at 127 meters high, this is the tallest free-standing structure in Scotland.

Other places to visit could be the Scotland Street Schoolthe House for An Art-lover and the rural landscape of Pollok Country Park which contains two of Glasgow's major museums; the Burrell Collection and Pollok House. The area includes many great parks (Linn Park Queen's ParkBellahouston Park and Rouken Glen Park) and if for those interested in playing golf there are several golf clubs                                                     around.

Fans of football may find it interesting too to know that Southside is where you will find Scotland's national football stadium, Hampden Park (home of Queens Park FC) and Ibrox Stadium (home of Rangers FC) plus the Scottish Football Museum.
